Extra buses laid on to get fans home from Katy Perry's Isle of MTV concert
Extra late-night services will run from Floriana to destinations across Malta
Thousands of music fans heading to see Katy Perry perform at this year's Isle of MTV will have extra buses available to get home after the show.
Malta Public Transport said it will operate additional late-night services from the Granaries in Floriana once the concert ends on Wednesday evening, with buses beginning to leave from 11pm.
The free concert will see the global pop superstar take to the stage alongside Dutch DJ Afrojack and Maltese Eurovision entrant AIDAN, as tens of thousands are expected to descend on Floriana for one of the biggest events of the summer.
Extra buses will run to Sliema, St Julian's, Qawra, Buġibba, Mellieħa, Mosta, Rabat, Mtarfa, Żebbuġ, Marsaskala, Marsaxlokk, Birżebbuġa, Xgħajra and the Three Cities.
The additional trips will operate alongside Malta Public Transport's regular night bus network(N3, N13, N48, N52, N62, N71, N82 and N91), giving concertgoers a range of options after the event.
The concert is the centrepiece of Malta Music Week, a five-day programme of live performances and club nights running until Sunday.
Travel on the extra services will be free for Tallinja Card holders, while passengers without a valid card will pay the standard €3 night fare.
