In the UK, the government is looking into holiday package prices available during the school holidays. Prices go sky high, to more than double what they usually are, because of the demand. Tony Blair's government feels this is not playing cricket and is aiming to get a fairer deal for consumers.

In Malta insurance companies raised motorcycle premiums exorbitantly, by over 400 per cent in some cases, and the government here has not made a squeak, in spite of the bikers' protests, and the Consumers' Association accusation that the insurers have a tendency of forming a cartel.
