There were 43 false calls for ambulances between January and October this year, Health Minister Louis Deguara told Nationalist MP Mario Galea when replying to a parliamentary question yesterday.

Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg said the Civil Protection Department had 4,395 requests for assistance between January and October. There were 266 false alarms last year and 215 by the end of October this year.
