Did Love Island Malta accidentally leak its season 4 line-up?

The Love Island Malta page may have accidentally leaked its contestants for season 4 of the reality show.

Fans of the show were quick to spot and download a promotional video uploaded by the official Love Island Malta page that showed a set of “islanders” being asked to choose their favourite products from one of the show’s sponsors.

The video was pulled down quickly by the page but reuploaded by fans to a Facebook discussion page for the show, leading people to speculate whether the “islanders” seen in the video are the contestants for the next season.

A still from the video suggests that the video was promotional material asking the season 4 'islanders' their favourite coffee flavour.

The fourth season of Love Island Malta starts Sunday, May 17. The first episode will air at 9.15pm on TVM+.

The official list of islanders is set to be revealed on Thursday, starting from 8am, with one islander launched every hour throughout the day.

Love Island Malta is a local iteration of the British reality franchise. The show follows a group of single contestants, better known as “islanders”, competing for the cash prize by coupling up and surviving public vote eliminations.

During their time on the show, the contestants live and interact in a villa isolated from the outside world while being monitored by live television cameras.

The show airs for six weeks, with episodes released almost daily.
