Far from legendary

I must express my utter disappointment at the very poor and amateur organisation of the so-called legendary match between Italy and England.

Kick-off was advertised at 7 p.m. however the match started an hour later - fans were not even informed of this delay. During this time fans had to endure a monotonous disk jockey repeating the same words over and over again: "Welcome", "benvenuti, "merhba".

The stadium was half empty - no wonder the persons seated behind the goal posts were asked to move to the Millennium Stand minutes before kick off. What a welcome to the legends!

And speaking about the legends - we were inundated with adverts showing photos of legends Dino Zoff, Eros Ramazzotti, Paolo Rossi and others who were supposed to be in the Italian line-up. Where were these? Why didn't they turn up?

On another note, the seats in the North side behind the goal posts were all broken. Kids were throwing pieces of plastic from the seats at each other causing a very serious health hazard! Can the Malta Football Association look into this?

A note to the organisers: Next time round please be more forthcoming with your clients; learn from your mistakes and try to organise an event in a professional manner.
