A father and son were yesterday charged with trying to kill a man in Gharghur on Monday.
The two, whose name is not being published to protect the identity of the son, a 17-year-old and still a minor, pleaded not guilty and were remanded in custody.
They were charged with stabbing John Grech, seriously injuring him and trying to kill him.
They were also charged with the possession of a knife and a flick-knife, breaching the peace and threatening John and Michael Grech, Tony Borg and Reuben Azzopardi.
The son alone was also charged with speeding, driving a car without a licence and insurance cover.
The father, 43, was charged with letting his son drive without a licence.
Police Inspectors Simon Galea and Dennis Theuma prosecuted.
