Organisations within the St Sebastian parish in Qormi have agreed to restricted the outdoor festivities for their patron saint out of respect for fireworks enthusiasts Alfred Stellini and Damian Agius, who died in a fireworks explosion on February 22.

There will be no fireworks throughout the week of the feast, and the Sunday morning band march has been called off.

A Remembrance Day will be held on the Tuesday before the feast day. A children's procession followed by Mass will be held. There will be no band march on the day.

On the feast day, the societies will make a donation to a charitable institution which still has to be selected.

St Sebastian Band will accompany the procession with the statue of St Sebastian.
