Former world number one Lindsay Davenport will lead the United States in next week's Fed Cup World Group quarter-final against Germany, the US Tennis Association said.

Davenport, a former Wimbledon, US Open and Australian Open champion, will team up with Lisa Raymond, Ashley Harkleroad and Laura Granville for the February 2-3 tie in California.

Davenport, 31, has a win-loss record of 31-2 in Fed Cup play where she has gone 25-2 in singles matches and 6-0 in the doubles.
