Festa Ċitru returns on January 18, this time with guided palace tours
Annual citrus festival will raise money for the MCCF
Festa Ċitru, the annual celebration at San Anton Palace of all things citrus, will be held on Sunday, January 18 this year, the Office of the President has announced.
The yearly event in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund will begin at 9am and run into the afternoon.
Visitors will be able to sample a range of citrus-based products, from fruits themselves to things like cakes, jams, sweets and other products prepared by cooks working inside the palace kitchen.
They will also be able to visit cordoned off areas of San Anton Palace, the official presidential residence, through guided tours being organised throughout the day.

The 2026 edition of the event was announced by President Myriam Spiteri Debono at an event with primary school children from Attard and Valletta.
Children helped pack citrus in bags, ready for sale. They sampled freshly squeezed orange juice and were given oranges and other citrus-based products to take home.
All proceeds raised through the event will be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
