Kinnie League leaders Fiat Luxol will be facing a stiff challenge tomorrow afternoon in their bid to stretch a winning sequence to seven matches as they face the in-form Hamrun Liberty Go Mobile side.
Today, champions Pembroke will be seeking to return to winning ways after they got beaten by Luxol in their previous match. The champions play against Siggiewi who in their last outing were also defeated by Luxol.
Despite not playing to their maximum, Luxol have managed to avoid defeat in their previous six matches as the 'twin tower' combination of Silvio Cassar and Ivan Attard has now started to function better. Indeed, their partnership up front is proving more than a headache for all opponents as Luxol's lethal attack is fast becoming the team's main weapon.
Hamrun, on a three-match winning run, will again pin their hopes on Albert Spiteri as the former Malta international continues with his steady recovery.
Pembroke and Siggiewi will be after a win today to improve their position in the regular season.
The Reds have to keep in touch with runaway leaders Luxol while Siggiewi, who had the better of Pembroke twice in the MBA Shield this season, need the points to lift themselves off the bottom of the standings.
