Fidelity Investments launches Fidelity Global Focus Fund

Fidelity Investments has launched a new fund - the Fidelity Funds Global Focus Fund (US$).

The fund, a specialist global equity fund, is designed to appeal to experienced investors, who want concentrated exposure to global investment stock-picking opportunities and who have a stronger appetite for risk.

The fund differs from Fidelity's existing global funds - its portfolio construction is not bound by traditional geographic and regional constraints. It has a 'go-anywhere' investment approach and looks at a combination of global sector and stock specific factors. It also seeks to take advantage of the impact these factors have on stock market returns.

The fund, managed by fund manager Brenda Reed - Fidelity's former UK and European research director - has the freedom to select the best investment ideas from each global sector, as identified by Fidelity's award-winning team of investment analysts.
