Ten out of 10 for your editorial (July 18). But I fail to understand why it is "we" who should fight them. It is the government which should fight them at the beaches.

It is the government which should do battle with illegal encroachment by owners of boat houses, beach huts and lidos. And if this government will not fight them, I will fight the government. I will fight it at the polls in the next general election.

And mine is not a threat. It is a promise!
