For another consecutive year the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) hosted a Goût de France dinner at one of its training venues, The Voyage Restaurant.

This year, the dinner was a bit more special since the food was prepared by third-year Degree in Culinary Arts students who studied at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France, for four months last year as part of their studies.

The students presented a carefully crafted and curated menu and were responsible for the whole process, from inception to execution. The service was carried out by Certificate students, under the direction of their lecturers, who also paired different wines for each course.

Goût de France is a celebration across the world, whereby chefs commit to cooking a French-style dinner. This year’s theme was food inspired by socially responsible cuisine, showcasing food that is healthy and respects the planet.

The dinner, prepared every March 21, is celebrated in various restaurant across Malta. ITS and its students had the honour to host French Ambassador, Brigitte Curmi, together with her distinguished guests.
