Fire at Xewkija industrial building brought under control

No injuries were reported in the early morning incident

No one was injured after a fire broke out in an industrial building in Xewkija early on Tuesday morning.

The Civil Protection Department said it received reports of smoke coming from an industrial site in Xewkija at 6am.

Firefighters from fire stations 6 and 7 were sent on site.

The fire was brought under control soon after and no injuries were reported.

The CPD were assisted by the police and the emergency department at Gozo General Hospital.
