The Malta Feline Guardians Club (MFGC) is organising the first cat show/exhibition for this year at the Corinthia San Gorg, St Julians, today at 9.30 a.m.
Around 60 cats, many of which are pure breeds, are taking part in the show, and are split into three categories: A - Pure Breed Kittens (between three to ten months); B - Pure Breed Adults (11 months and over); C - Domestic Cats.
Trophies will be awarded to the first three voted cats in each category, and another trophy will go to the best cat within each of the three categories.
The most creative participant will receive a trophy for the best decorated cage.
Every hour, prizes will be granted to the general public attending the show by means of a lottery.
Lynn and Antoine Faure will entertain the public during the show and a Mass will be celebrated in the hotel at noon.
The MFGC cat show will be held under the auspices of The International Cat Association (TICA) of the USA, and is sponsored by Eukanuba.
