The Malta Cycling Federation season gets underway on Sunday with a time-trial over the Qormi-Dingli circuit - 12 kms in all.

With administration duties at the federation again being shared by the executive committee and the clubs themselves and the prospect of reviving the Tour of Malta more interest and activity is being generated in the local cycling circles this year.

The Tour of Malta has been lying dormant for the past two years now.

Federation sources said there has already been some queries on the tour from local clubs and various foreign cycling organisations.
