Fischler arrives tomorrow

EU Agriculture Commissioner Franz Fischler will start an official visit to Malta tomorrow, the government said.

Mr Fischler would be holding talks with Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami and Foreign Minister Joe Borg. He will also meet Environment and Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino and is expected to call on President Guido de Marco.

He is expected to visit a farm which produces milk and tour fields and a factory that processes tomatoes in Gozo.

Mr Fischler will be meeting representatives of farmers and fishermen and constituted bodies. He is also expected to meet wine producers.
