A fisherman was flown to hospital yesterday morning after suffering heart attack symptoms onboard a fishing vessel.

Andrew Debono, 37, began sweating profusely and feeling severe pain in his arm at about 8 a.m. on board the Sant'Anna, located about 24 nautical miles off the island.

The army said a military helicopter was immediately sent to the fishing boat to pick up the fisherman and returned at about 9.30 a.m.
