500 apply in six hours to become PN volunteers following public call

Alex Borg impressed with 'phenomenal response'

More than 500 people expressed interest in becoming Nationalist Party volunteers in just six hours, Alex Borg said on Thursday. 

“I’m impressed with the phenomenal response we had,” the PN leader said in a short video statement. 

Borg called on the public to volunteer with the party despite the fourth electoral defeat to Labour, which secured re-election with a 22,000-vote margin. Despite the defeat, many PN exponents are encouraged by the fact that the gap was almost half that recorded in 2022.

On Wednesday, Borg posted a short video calling for volunteers to help bolster the party’s efforts. 

Following the campaign, the PN posted two links - one for would-be volunteers to apply, the other asking for feedback.
