A lone flamingo dropped in at Għadira Bay and Birzebbuġa on Thursday afternoon, surprising bathers.

It is not known if they were the same bird but the feathered visitor appeared to be comfortable as it made its way between the swimmers in shallow water.  

BirdLife Malta said the bird reported in Birzebbuġa later flew towards Marsaxlokk.
