Floriana completed a double transfer swoop when they announced the signings of midfield duo Diego Venancio and Matias Garcia.

Venancio and Garcia set the BOV Premier League alight with their performances at Senglea Athletic and it was only natural that new Floriana coach Enzo Potenza would make a quick move to acquire the services of both Garcia and Venancio.

In a statement, Floriana announced that they had reached an agreement with the 25-year-old Venancio.

“Floriana FC would like to announce that an agreement was reached with Brazilian forward, Diego Silva,” the club said in a statement.

The club is in process to complete the registration in order for Diego Silva to be part of the Floriana F.C squad for the upcoming season 2019/20.”

Venancio arrived in Malta in January and his impact on Maltese football with the Southern club was devastating. In 13 matches played, Diego Silva scored 6 goals and produced 5 assists and quickly established himself as one of the most courted players in the local football scene.

His performances played a key role in helping Senglea to retain their top-flight status

The Greens have also reach an accord with the 22-year-old Garcia who came through the ranks of one of the most famous football academies in Argentina, Club Atletico Belgrano.

Last season, Garcia played 23 matches scoring five goals in the process and produced three assists last season while during the 2017/18 season, he played 24 matches scoring three goals in all competitions.
