FOI officials meet Egyptian business delegation

Adrian Bajada, FOI president, together with Wilfred Kenely, director general, met a delegation of Egyptian businessmen during a business breakfast organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last week.

The visiting delegation was made up of established players in various sectors of the Egyptian economy, including tourism, manufacturing, real estate and trading. The visit was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mark the National Day of Egypt.

During the activity, Foreign Minister Michael Frendo and Dr Ashraf El Rabbeei, Egyptian Undersecretary for Trade, spoke on the importance of widening the commercial horizons not just to traditional large markets but also to regional neighbours.

Malta and Egypt, they insisted, have cultural and commercial traditions, which go back many years and which should make it easier for business to happen between the two countries.
