The eighth National Folk Singing Festival organised by the National Folklore Commission within the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and will be held between May 27 and 29 at Argotti Gardens in Floriana.

It is dedicated to the late Guzè Cassar Pullicino (1921-2005) who was instrumental in the early 1950s in organising the Konkors ta' l-Ghana (the Folk Singing Competition) during the Mnarja Midnight folk festival under the auspices of the Agrarian Society at Buskett Gardens.
