Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero said he is happy at the Primera Liga club and is not thinking about moving on.

The Argentine international has been linked with several European sides and Argentina coach Diego Maradona, father of Aguero's partner Giannina, said last month he should seek a move to Inter.

"It's not the first time that there have been rumours about my future but I decide what happens," Aguero said.

Aguero said Maradona's comments about Inter had been misunderstood.

"I think that what Maradona said was misinterpreted and what he wanted to say was that I would make a good partner for a player like Ibrahimovic, nothing more," he told reporters.

No player power at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea's stand-in manager Ray Wilkins denied player power was behind the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Captain John Terry hinted last week that Scolari did not have the full support of all the squad.

"There is no player power at this club," Wilkins said.

"The results unfortunately have not been what Abramovich wanted and that's why the change of manager."

Chelsea have slipped to fourth in the Premier League, seven points behind leaders Manchester United, who also have a game in hand.

New injury hits Trezeguet

The Juventus fans were expecting David Trezeguet to start today's match against Sampdoria but the Juventus striker is again out of contention after suffering a new injury.

The Frenchman missed five months of the season following double tendon surgery and has been making brief appearances for the last few weeks. However, he is out of Claudio Ranieri's squad after pulling up during training with a muscular problem.

As Vincenzo Iaquinta is suspended, that means Amauri is the only real option to partner captain Alessandro Del Piero in attack.

Juve have a long list of injured players including Momo Sissoko, Cristiano Zanetti, Paolo De Ceglie, Hasan Salihamidzic, Dario Knezevic and Jonathan Zebina.

Chelsea pay over £23m to former managers

Chelsea paid £23.1 million in compensation to former managers Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant along with five of their coaching staff.

The club released a report on Friday which showed reduced losses of 65.7 million pounds for the year ending June 2008.

The club reported losses of 74.8 million in the previous year.

"The results include exceptional items of 23.1 million pounds related to compensation payments to two first team managers and five coaching staff," the report said.

The figure does not include the compensation due to Luiz Felipe Scolari. Wages and salaries went up to 148.5 million pounds from 132.8 million.

Maldini fired up for last derby

Milan captain Paolo Maldini said ambitions to win one more league title have charged him up for today's game against Inter, his last derby before retirement.

Third-placed Milan need to close an eight-point gap on leaders Inter if Maldini is to add an eighth Serie A title to his huge honours collection, which includes five European Cup triumphs.

"Naturally my final derby is even more special," the 40-year-old said.

"The beautiful thing is I'm playing with something important at stake. I still believe we can come back and this team can win the title."

Pompey boss Storrie re-arrested

Peter Storrie, the Portsmouth FC executive chairman, has been re-arrested as part of the probe into alleged football corruption.

The news was confirmed by the club who said Storrie, first questioned in 2007 on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting, was questioned on a "tax issue" in London on Friday.

He denies any wrong-doing and was not charged.

"Peter Storrie attended Bishopsgate police station to answer to bail in furtherance of his arrest in 2007," Portsmouth said.

"Mr Storrie has been fully co-operative throughout police investigations which did not involve allegations of corruption or bungs."

Makelele pondering retirement

Claude Makelele is mulling retirement at the end of the season.

The former France midfielder joined PSG from Chelsea last summer and has been one of the inspirations behind the club's climb to third place in Ligue 1.

Makelele, 35, has to decide this summer whether to prolong his stay in Paris but he was quoted as saying there is a 50-50 chance he could retire and stop playing.

"I am going to finish the season and take some time to reflect," he told football magazine L'Equipe.

"If my children say to me, 'dad, quit!', I will. But my decision will also depend on my desire and circumstances. My chances of staying are 50-50."
