Zlatan Ibrahimovic reckons Jose Mourinho is bringing the best out of him and praised the coach's disciplinary stance at Inter.

"I am used to this mentality," Mourinho said.

"I like a coach that sometimes treats you badly, that uses harsh words, that tells me 'you were awful.' I grew up at Ajax with Co Adriaanse, a similar type of person. Then I had Fabio Capello, who made sure you understood everything right away."

Mourinho has the right character to guide Inter, Ibrahimovic said.

"It's not easy to train a great team like Inter," the striker added. "You cannot do this without having great personality."

100kg striker told to lose weight

River Plate's new signing Cristian Fabbiani, a cult figure nicknamed The Ogre by supporters, has been told to eat less by his coach after officially passing the 100-kilo mark.

The 25-year-old owes his nickname to an apparent likeness to the animated film character Shrek.

Fabbiani's weight has been one of the talking points of the season with his mother giving interviews on her son's dietary habits.

"It's my physique and I can't change it much. But I'm not going to get left out of the team again and I'm going to put an end to all this," he said.

Rijkaard 'interest' in Milan job

Frank Rijkaard would be interested in coaching Milan in future, agent Perry Overeem told reporters in Italy.

With Carlo Ancelotti's days numbered after a dismal run at home and in Europe, Milan have warned their coach he must finish third to save his job.

"This season I have spoken to Milan on various occasions, but we have never discussed taking the coach's job there," Overeem said.

"Of course, Frank was a great player for Milan and if they showed an interest and made an offer he would give it a lot of attention."

Man arrested after knife attack

A man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of threatening at knifepoint the fiancee of Darren Fletcher, the Manchester United midfielder.

Hayley Grice was forced to take off her engagement ring while Fletcher's mother was also forced to hand over watches and jewellery in a raid that took place on February 23, just hours after the player had flown out with the United squad for Milan.

Fletcher's young twins were also in the house in the upmarket village of Bowdown, south of Manchester.

Fletcher is not the only Bowdon-based footballer whose property has come under attack. Robbers carried out a raid on the home of Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz in November.

Ribery not leaving Bayern

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the Bundesliga giants have no plans to sell Franck Ribery after reports linking the French international with various clubs including Barcelona and Manchester United.

"Franck is under contract until June 2011 and we are not ready to allow him to leave any earlier than this," Rummenigge said.

"He is happy at our club and is not seeking a transfer away from here."

However, Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer appears less certain about Ribery's future.

He said: "It is always a problem when a player wants to leave, a club holds a gun to him telling him that he cannot. Bayern have been dependant on him for a long time."

Dalglish attacks police over tragedy

Former Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has criticised police for a failure to delay the kick-off in the build-up to the Hillsborough disaster. Ninety-six Liverpool fans were crushed to death during an FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on April 15, 1989.

Dalglish, Liverpool's boss at the time, has spoken out in a documentary due to be broadcast on April 15. A failure to control the flow of spectators was cited as a key factor in the disaster but Dalglish said this could have been avoided.

"The easiest thing to do is just to put the kick-off back a bit," Dalglish said.

"It's something that everybody wished had never happened but I think it's also something that nobody should forget."

Behrami out for rest of season

Valon Behrami, 23, will miss the remainder of the season through injury. The West Ham midfielder was stretchered off in last Sunday's 1-0 win over Manchester City after twisting his ankle and knee.

The full extent of the injury is still not known, although tests have revealed the Switzerland international did not suffer a fracture.

Behrami expects to miss the rest of the term.

"The season has gone for me," he said. "I must now wait until I know whether or not cruciate ligament surgery is required."
