St Edward's College will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in style - various events are planned over a week, ranging from classical music, sports, art, literature, celebratory events, fairs and activities for children.

Throughout its history, the college has been responsible for providing an education to future success stories in the world of sports, among a multitude of other fields. In fact, as part of its anniversary celebrations, on October 13 (St Edward's Day), the college will be holding a sportive event between 1.30 and 3.30 p.m., during which Old Edwardian sportsmen will be competing against Edwardian students in football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, athletics and table tennis. The event is to be held in the college grounds.

Among Old Edwardian sportsmen participating in the event there are Pippo Psaila (also a member of the college's board of governors), Kevin Decesare, Xandru Grech, David Cluett, Andrew Hogg, Beppe Trigona, Alex Bianchi, Eman Xuereb, Louis John Camilleri, Abraham Baldacchino, Sean Sullivan, Edward Aquilina, Brian Said, David Pace, Umberto Borg Cardona, Kevin Tonna, Ricky Baldacchino and Joseph Zerafa. A commentary by Charles Mock will be provided throughout the event.

Old Edwardians, parents and the public are invited to attend. The college is currently updating its databases. Old Edwardians are asked to call 2182 7077 or to send an e-mail to cdm@stedwards.edu.mt to provide recent contact details.
