The Forum Unions Maltin has expressed support with the Union of Cabin Crew in its action regarding the food given to staff on Air Malta flights.

It told the union not to be deterred in its work following criticism by the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association.

Forum noted that the MHRA was one of the entities which pressured the previous administration to support low cost airlines knowing this measure could impact heavily on the national airline.

It said management had no right to alter conditions in collective agreements on the pretext of “saving the company” at the detriment of its workers’ conditions.
