Foundation Day lunch held recently at the SAS Radison Hotel, St George's Bay, saw the launch of a series of activities organised by the National Council of Women (NCW) to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Among those present were some of NCW's international contacts, including EU Ambassador Ronald Gallimore, and Mrs Anne Fean, Mrs Donna Goia and Mrs Helen Palk. Guests of honour were Parliamentary Secretary Dolores Cristina and Mrs Catherine Gonzi. Also present were founder members Josephine Amato Gauci, Bice Testaferrata Moroni Viani and M. Jane Spiteri, MOM.

Honorary life membership was bestowed on Ms Cristina and Mrs Violet de Marco.
