Four arrested in two police drug operations

Cases involve suspected trafficking and drug cultivation

Four men are under arrest in two cases involving drug trafficking and cultivation.

The first arrests were made on Sunday evening in Paceville and involved two Somali men aged 24 and 30. They were found to be carrying 30 sachets of suspected cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

On Monday, the police arrested a 27-year-old Dutch man and a 31-year-old Sewde during a raid on their residence in Triq it-Torri tal-Kaptan, Naxxar.  The police seized 50 cannabis plants as well as cannabis resin and items related to drug cultivation.

The four are expected to be arraigned later on Tuesday.
