Four-month old baby boy in serious condition after falling ill at nursery
The baby was found unconscious by childcare centre staff in Msida
A four-month-old baby boy was taken to hospital in a serious condition after being found unconscious by staff at a childcare centre on Friday.
The police said they received a report requesting assistance at a childcare centre in Triq Garcin, Msida at around noon.
When they arrived on site, they found the childcare centre staff giving medical assistance to a four-month old baby boy who was found unconscious.
After a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital continued assisting the child, he was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he was certified to be in a critical condition.
Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia LL.D. was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
