Fr Rob Galea live in concert at Qala square
The Maltese-Australian priest and singer-songwriter is internationally renowned for his music and message of hope
On July 26, Qala square will host a concert by Fr Rob Galea, the Maltese-Australian priest, singer-songwriter and author, who is internationally renowned for his music and the message of hope he shares.
Born in Malta and now based in Australia, Fr Rob inspires many young people. As a young man, he went through a difficult period marked by rebellion, drugs, theft, depression and anxiety. It was a time when he felt lost and without direction. However, his encounter with God changed his life completely.
Today, through his vocation and his music, he shares a message of faith, hope and love with millions of people around the world, particularly young people.
Fr Rob has released 10 albums, won several international awards and written a number of books. He has also performed on X Factor Australia, produced official songs for World Youth Day and performed before audiences of hundreds of thousands of people.
The Qala event begins at 8pm with a performance by Gozitan singer Jolene Samhan, before Fr Rob takes to the stage with his band. Admission is free.
The concert is being organised by Radju Leħen il-Qala as part of its 30th anniversary. The station was the first community radio station in Gozo to obtain a permanent broadcasting licence.
