Frans Pace outstanding at Bidnija ranges

The clay ranges at Bidnija on Sunday were again in action. Paul Vella seems to be slowly bringing out his true potential in Skeet. He shot a creditable 70 score, completely outshining the other shooters in the competition, on 50 clays and a 25-clay barrage final.

Result: 1. Paul Vella 46 + 24 = 70; 2. Charles Agius 41 + 17 = 58; 3. Silvio Attard 36 + 20 = 56.

William Chetcuti did not falter his winning run in Double Trap and again was triumphant in the competition on 150 clays.

Result: 1. William Chetcuti 125; 2. Philip Busuttil 121; 3. Mark Sammut 114.

The weekend Trap appointment was kept on the range of the Qormi Clay Shooters Club. The Wings Trophy was at stake in the 50 clay and 25-clay barrage competition.

Aldo Falzon grasped the title in the final with a superb straight cancelling the aspirations of the other shooters.

On Thursday, the Malta Shooting Federation ranges were again full of activity and apart from very good scores across the board, Frans Pace delivered a shooting spectacle.

He only missed one clay in the competition and another in the barrage to finish the 50 and 25-clay final contest on a 73 score. Apart from the straight shot by Pace, Nazzareno Attard shot another perfect 25 in the final.

Class A: 1. Frans Pace - 49; 2. Nazzareno Attard - 46; 3. Nicky Carabott - 46.

Class B: 1. Frans Zammit - 46; 2. Emmanuel Attard - 40; 3. Joe Cutajar - 39.

Class C: 1. Charles Abdilla - 44; 2. Paul Bezzina - 39; 3. Ryan Bugeja - 37.
