Ferencvaros are out in Malta for a week-long training camp following their mid-winter break. Their cosmopolitan squad includes players from across the world, among whom are several players signed or loaned from Sheffield United FC. The match is a result of Malta Tourism Authority's sponsorship links with English Championship club Sheffield United.
The club, known as The Blades, will be sending some of the most important pieces from their Legends of the Lane museum to be put on display in Malta. The exhibition officially opens on Wednesday at the MTA in Valletta. The memorabilia includes the original 1858 handwritten rules of Association Football, a document that changed the sporting world forever.
The Youdan Cup - the first football trophy ever contested in the world, and one of the oldest surviving balls in English football, used in an 1899 match, also form part of the collection.
