Free SEC revision classes for September resits

Lecturers are being offered in Biology, English, Maltese, Mathematics and Physics

Applications have reopened for free SEC revision classes aimed at students preparing to sit their September SEC and O-Level resit examinations.

The classes are being held through the Youth Guarantee project and co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus. The classes are intended for students who will be resitting Biology, English, Maltese, Mathematics or Physics examinations this September.

Since their launch in 2014, the SEC revision programme has supported more than 6,600 students and has consistently produced positive results, the government said.

The classes will begin on July 22 and run for five weeks. Students aged between 15 and 29 who did not achieve Level 3, obtained a U grade, or were marked absent in any of the five subjects during the May 2026 examination session are eligible to apply.

Lessons will be held at MCAST Mosta, the Msida Lifelong Learning Centre, MCAST Paola and Gozo College in Victoria, Gozo. Students may choose to attend up to three subjects, including one science subject from either Biology or Physics.

Applications can be submitted online through www.jobsplus.gov.mt/revisionclasses. The application period closes on July 17, while late applications will be accepted until July 24.

Further information about the SEC Revision Classes under the Youth Guarantee project is available by calling 79657711 or by visiting the Youth Guarantee Malta website or Facebook page.

Students were reminded that applying for the revision classes does not automatically register them for the September resits. Applications for resit examinations must be submitted separately to MATSEC.
