Forty-six contestants taking part in the Miss France beauty contest are today being filmed parading in Valletta and Mdina for French TV station TF1.

The contestants are travelling on the cruise ship 'Mistral' which will also take them to Valencia, Palermo, Civita Vecchia, Genoa and Marseille.

During their stay, the models are being accompanied by the director of the Malta Tourism Authority office in Paris, Dominic Micallef.

The Malta footage will be shown during the Miss France contest itself being held in Lyon on December 14.
