Over the course of three decades, SAP has evolved from a small, regional enterprise into a world class international company. Today, SAP is the global market leader in holistic enterprise business solutions.
The company now employs more than 34,000 people with annual revenues of €7,514 million and net income of €1,311 million.
Headquartered in Walldorf, Germany, SAP is now listed on the Frankfurt and New York stock exchanges.
In 2005, there are 12 million users daily using SAP solutions. SAP currently has 100,600 installations worldwide, more than 1,500 partners, over 25 industry-specific business solutions, and more than 29,800 customers in 120 countries, of which 50 per cent are SMEs.
Small does not mean simple solutions as SMEs still encounter problems similar to those encountered in larger firms. Irrespective of size, each company's operations need to be integrated.
A generic solution is not an answer. SAP software is unique, reliable and integrated with specific vertical industry solutions (ranging from the public sector to utilities, healthcare to banking and transportation to pharmaceuticals).
SAP Business One gives SMEs an opportunity to manage critical business operations with a single software solution at a reasonable cost.
My SAP Business Suite delivers a comprehensive range of solutions to empower every aspect of business operations. By using these solutions, organisations can reduce costs, improve performance and gain the agility to respond to changing business needs.
Stefano Bettini, SAP Business Development manager for Malta, said: "We arrived in Malta with a rich history of innovation and growth that has made us a true industry leader, with a specific objective to create a network of business partners for our solutions and to develop a strong relationship with the Maltese government.
"To date we are very satisfied of the quality of our appointed partners and of the collaboration received from MITI".
