Fuel spill causes Coast Road traffic diversion

South-bound traffic diverted at Baħar ic-Cagħaq

Part of the Coast Road at Baħar ic-Cagħaq was briefly closed for traffic because of a fuel spill on Tuesday morning, causing a long traffic jam.

The spill took place on the hill from Baħar ic-Cagħaq to St Andrews at about 8.45am.

Traffic was stopped at the Baħar ic-Cagħaq roundabout at the bottom of the hill and diverted.

The road was reopened at 9.15am.
