Fulham produced a breathtaking attacking display to trounce Juventus 4-1 and reach the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday.

The Italians, twice European champions, finished the match with nine men as Fulham won 5-4 on aggregate to reach the last eight of a European competition for the first time.

Clint Dempsey grabbed the decisive fourth goal for the home side, who fought back after going behind inside two minutes when striker David Trezeguet fired home for the visitors.

Fulham equalised through Bobby Zamora and then dominated the match at Craven Cottage after Juve defender Fabio Cannavaro was sent off in the 27th minute.

Zoltan Gera scored either side of the break before Fulham's United States midfielder Dempsey grabbed the fourth to send the unfancied Premier League side into the last eight.

Juventus were reduced to nine-men in added time when defender Jonathan Zebina saw red for kicking out at Fulham's Ireland winger Damien Duff.
