Registered full-time employment increased by 3.8 per cent in October when compared to October 2013, according to Employment and Training Corporation administrative data published by the National Statistics Office.
The data showed that, over a period of one year, the labour supply (excluding part-timers) increased by 3.1 per cent, reaching 172,014.
This was mainly attributed to an increase in the full-time gainfully occupied population (6,093) and a drop in registered unemployment (998).
Registered full-time employment in the private sector went up by 3,798 persons to 120,867. Public sector full-time employment increased by 2,295 persons and reached 44,551.
