Fund-raising auction of art works

A group of members from Rotary Club La Valette Malta have spent a Saturday morning with the disabled residents, their helpers and volunteers at Dar il-Kaptan respite care home.

The aim of the activity was to involve the residents in the production of artistic works, utilising some of the hundreds of neckties collected during an activity on the Sliema seafront.

The works will complement the professional artifacts which are being produced by some of Malta's best known artists and which will be auctioned to raise money for Dar il-Kaptan on November 22.

A number of established artists have donated works to Dar il-Kaptan to be auctioned at Bay Street Hotel, St Julian's on the day at 7.30 p.m.

Works can be viewed at the Artisan Centre, Bay Street from Sunday.
