Work on the upgrading of Upper Barrakka Gardens, in Valletta has started again after a break for the summer months.

The next phase of the project, being run by the Valletta Rehabilitation Project, will incorporate the paving of the garden with natural materials. A lighting system designed by Stephen Buttigieg will be installed, while a new garden layout by Dorianne Micallef will be planted.

The garden will be accessible while works are underway although parts will be closed off.

Works are also resuming at Hastings Garden, in Valletta.
