The Gasan Group of Companies, through Gasan Enterprises Ltd, is celebrating 80 years of operations as a car importer. Kick-starting a series of events for the occasion, a Special 80th Bargain Event will be held later this month. Eighty vehicles will be selected and sold at reduced prices and with better finance terms than current offers.

This event will be followed by a series of monthly events, promotions and staff incentives, culminating in an 80th anniversary reception at an exclusive location on October 1 which is the day, 80 years ago, when the late Joe Gasan officially signed the first car importation agreement with Henry Ford. "The year 2008, for us, is a year like no other," David Gasan, managing director, Gasan Enterprises Ltd, said. "This year, our driving inspiration draws on our long-established experience and tradition and looks to the future with vision and optimism, this being fuelled and backed up by a heritage of which we are very proud."

The company has also launched a Gasan Goes Green campaign, becoming the first car importer to contribute towards the 34U Clean Air Campaign of the Ministry of Rural Affairs and the Environment, by planting 100 trees on St Paul's Bay main arterial road.
