A 54-year-old German woman died this evening after she was hit by a car in Ghajnsielem.

The police said the accident happened at around 6.30 p.m.

The car that hit the woman was being driven by a Maltese person. The woman was taken to the Gozo General Hospital in a critical condition, where she died soon after.

An inquiry is being held.
