Germany were drawing 1-1 at half-time with Denmark in their final Euro 2012 Group B match Sunday with a quarter-final place at stake.

Lukas Podolski, winning his 100th cap, gave the Germans the lead in the 19th minute with a ferocious drive from 15 yards.

Thomas Mueller crossed from the right and although Mario Gomez miscued his effort Podolski was on hand to lash home.

But Michael Krohn-Dehli - scorer of their goal in the 1-0 opening win over Holland - equalised five minutes later with a powerful header after Nicklas Bendtner nodded on a corner.

The Germans need a draw to be sure of finishing top of Group B after winning their opening two matches.
