Għajnsielem crib society plans international convention
The event, scheduled to take place in September, promises to be a landmark event
The Ghimmanu-El Għaqda Presepisti Għajnsielem association recently held its annual general meeting where its members were given the opportunity to review the past year’s activities and achievements.
Society president Paul Stellini opened the meeting, highlighting several of the most significant events organised throughout the year. Particular reference was made to the exhibition held in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, which was described as a notable success and a fitting culmination of the association’s programme of events.
Stellini also informed members of the association’s plan to hold an international convention, scheduled to take place in September. He encouraged members to lend their support to what promises to be a landmark event.
The annual report, presented by the secretary, Joseph Vella, and read by the vice-president, Jesmond Buttigieg, detailed the wide range of initiatives undertaken and acknowledged the continued commitment and support of members.
The 2025 financial report presented by Teddy Saliba, treasurer, included a comprehensive explanation of the accounts and outlined the association’s current financial position.
Members were given the opportunity to raise questions, offer suggestions and contribute to an open discussion.
