GO has extended its inflight roaming service to certain flights operated by lRyanair, British Airways, and Tap Portugal thanks to connectivity services offered by GO’s second In-flight roaming partner, OnAir.
Inflight service was introduced some months ago on a number of flights by Emirates Airlines, Lufthansa Qantas and Saudi Arabian Airlines –powered by AeroMobile.
The telecoms company said that as soon as the aircraft reaches a cruising altitude and In-flight staff have given the green light for the use of phones, GO post-paid customers can enjoy incoming and outgoing voice calls and SMS from their mobile phones. Outgoing voice calls for GO pre-paid mobile customers are not as yet available.
The actual availability of the In-flight service on a particular aircraft is the sole responsibility of the airline that manages the flight.
