Go mobile is sponsoring the Bravo Rescue Division of St John Rescue Corps, a non-governmental organisation assigned to undertake beach patrol duties at Mellieha Bay during the summer months, as well as providing assistance during mass gatherings and events.
The mission statement of the St John Rescue Corps is to "provide a uniformed voluntary corps of organised and fully trained adults, able to carry out rescue operations and first aid efficiently." The Bravo Rescue Division is one of the three divisions within the Corps and has been active for the last 14 years. Members are prepared to go into action as an individual unit when officially called upon by them, in case of major national calamities such as earthquakes, major disasters, airplane crashes, floods, and similar occurrences.
"The Bravo Rescue Division is entirely composed of highly dedicated, unpaid volunteers and as an NGO we depend on the generosity of organisations like go mobile. We thank the company for its support," said Ivan Barbara, Divisional Commander.
Albert Gouder, Go Mobile marketing executive, said: "We are honoured to be associated with such a commendable organisation like St John Rescue Corps. Over the past years we have supported a number of organisations, and we will further our commitment towards such worthy causes."
