Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi this evening filed an urgent libel case Labour leader Alfred Sant for having called him a liar at a press conference given yesterday in connection with payment for hospital services.

Meanwhile, the entire Cabinet this evening also sued Dr Sant for libel for having called them corrupt in an interview published in The Sunday Times and timesofmalta.com last Sunday.
