Forty youths between the ages of 17 and 22 will be working this summer at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort after a recruitment exercise carried out mainly to cater for the resort's busy summer outlets, including the Lido, pool areas and the Edge open-air restaurant.
The recruitment took place following an open day organised at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort Grand Ballroom on May 1. Over 150 people attended the open day. The jobs on offer are mainly related to food service positions, pool boys and junior kitchen positions.
Raphael Cauchi, general manager at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, said: "I was pleased to see a very good response to the call for applications, hopefully the training and work experience offered by the company will be able to make a small contribution towards enriching the roles of these individuals, as well as enhancing their future possibilities of employment within the tourism industry in the future."
