How to make Times of Malta your preferred source for news on Google

A new Google feature lets you decide which publishers you trust most and have them appear more prominently in your search results.

Here’s how to set Times of Malta as one of your most trusted sources when using Google.

Google’s new Preferred Sources feature allows you to select specific news sources or websites that you want to see more frequently when running Google searches or using Google apps.

Personalising your Google settings in this way will make it more likely for you to get information from sources you can trust.  When you add a site as a Preferred Source, Google is more likely to show you articles or updates from that site.

Where will my Preferred Sources appear?

Preferred Sources will appear in a “From your sources” section that can appear when you search for news-related content on Google on your phone, tablet or PC. Articles from your preferred sources can also appear in a “Top stories” section that sometimes appears at the top of Google search results.

How do I add Times of Malta as a Google Preferred Source?

The easiest way to add Times of Malta as a Google Preferred Source is by clinking this link and then ticking the box next to timesofmalta.com.

You must be logged into Google to use Preferred Sources. If you are not, when you click the link Google will prompt you to log in or create an account.
